With partners located throughout the region, we can tailor your employment experience to suit your personal situation. Full-day and half-day shifts are available.
As one of our Teachers, you will work with our school partners to ensure the daily learning needs of their students are met and exceeded. In particular, you will deliver the curriculum material provided by the absent teacher and provide a duty of care to the students in the absence of the regular teacher.
REQUIREMENTS
- Teaching qualification from an accredited initial teacher education (ITE) program or a qualification that the Board recognizes as equivalent
- TRBWA registration
- Current WA Working With Children Check
- National Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Certification in HLTAID009 (Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) (desirable)
- Certification in HLTAID012 (Provide First Aid) (desirable)
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Delivering lesson plans and materials provided by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity of learning for students.
- Maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment, while also enforcing school policies and procedures.
- Assessing and evaluating student progress through assignments, tests, and other forms of assessment.
- Providing feedback to regular teachers on student progress, challenges, and successes.
- Managing student behaviour and discipline in line with school policies and procedures.
- Communicating effectively with regular teachers, school administrators, and parents as required.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training as required to maintain and develop teaching skills.
