As a school nurse, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to students, staff and visitors within the school environment. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the health and wellbeing of the school community. Your role will involve administering medications, providing first aid and emergency care, and managing health care plans for students with chronic health conditions. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records and liaising with parents and external health care providers as required.

- Bachelor of Nursing/Science (major in nursing)
- Registration with AHPRA
- First Aid Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Seasonal Influenza Vaccination
- Covid-19 Booster Vaccination
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Check
- Infection Control Training
- Child Protection & Abuse Prevention Mandatory Training
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students, staff and visitors
- Administer medications and manage health care plans for students with chronic health conditions
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of student health information
- Liaise with parents and external health care providers as required
- Participate in health promotion activities and provide health education to students and staff
- Monitor and manage infection control within the school environment
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures related to health and safety in the school environment
