We partner with secondary schools that require experienced and committed education assistants to provide relief support to their teams of professionals; dedicated to enhancing the daily lives of their students.
We are currently seeking Education Assistants to join our team and provide support to teachers and students in a variety of educational settings. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to implement lesson plans and provide individual and group support to students with diverse learning needs. You will also assist with classroom management and behaviour support, as well as provide administrative support as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- CHC30221 Certificate III in School-Based Education Support or equivalent
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Understanding of the needs of students with diverse learning needs
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Provide individual and group support to students with diverse learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers to implement lesson plans and provide classroom support
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Provide administrative support as needed, such as photocopying, filing, and record-keeping
- Prepare and maintain learning materials and resources
- Assist with the implementation of education and care programs
- Support students with personal care needs as required
