The Executive Assistant to the Principal offers comprehensive professional and personal support to facilitate the Principal's effective execution of duties. This encompasses administrative and secretarial assistance, coordination of designated committees and work groups, management of correspondence and scheduling, preparation and briefing for meetings and events, and liaison with all stakeholders within the school community and external entities. Additionally, the Executive Assistant ensures the smooth workflow and operation of the Principal's office.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to facilitate the Principal's leadership of the College, ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
  • Administer all aspects of the Principal's role, including handling correspondence and managing the electronic diary.
  • Draft and prepare correspondence and documents as directed by the Principal.
  • Liaise professionally and confidentially with College stakeholders on behalf of the Principal.
  • Coordinate VIP invitations for events such as Valedictory Dinner and Presentation Evening.
  • Manage documents related to the Principal and the College Board, including agendas and minutes for College Committees.
  • Support external Board membership commitments with administrative assistance.
  • Provide confidential secretarial and administrative support to the College Board, including preparing agendas and maintaining records.
  • Attend and minute College Board meetings and liaise with relevant staff for meeting logistics.
  • Adhere to professional standards, attend staff meetings, support extracurricular activities, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Administrative experience is essential, with a school environment desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively undertaking the secretarial responsibilities associated with the operation of Boards or Committees
  • Previous experience with TEAMS an advantage
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 utilising word processing, excel, PowerPoint, databases and email.
  • Full working rights to live and work in Australia
  • A current HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (desirable)
  • Current WA WWCC
  • Current police clearance (or willing to obtain)
